Structure of Princess Alice Adoption Home
During May 2008, a decision was taken by the management of PAAH to tighten its governance structures and expand its operations for purposes of staff development, social enterprise and to enter the market of international volunteering.
Three core focus areas of the organisation were identified and form the overall structure of the organisation, namely:
1. Mother and Baby Care
2. Fundraising and Management
3. Legal Requirements.
Each of the above areas address new aspects that are being developed for the Home. Opportunities in these sectors have been created for skills transfer for existing staff and new employees. The structure also caters for more concentrated fundraising through products of our new social enterprise division – a market that is spreading widely within the local and international communities – and, allows for the development of unskilled artists and manufacturers of traditionally African products.
